sports 1000 type track day car being developed using bmw running gear.

Developement project brief.

The intention with this development project is to build a chassis / body kit which is both simple to build for the amateur yet quick enough to keep the more experienced track day drivers entertained.

Using our basic sports 1000 design we are developing a chassis which is both lightweight and durable. By designing it around the BMW '3' series we are able to use all the strengths of the donor car, whilst maintaining the individuality of our own Scholar 983S sports 1000 race car.

We are currently looking into the possibility of SVA which will make this car road legal.

Intended specification of finished cars.

Lightweight multi-tube space frame chassis, specifically designed to take the BMW '3' series front and rear subframes.

Our chassis has been designed to take any single bank BMW engine from 1600cc 4 cylinder to 2.500cc 6 cyl.

A choice from our range of single piece alloy wheels - - 6" x 14" front, 8" x 14" rear.

Alternative wheel types and sizes can be supplied.

5 piece body panel set, including front splitter and rear diffuser, rear wing optional.
